Most if not all of the pictures on this site were taken with Nikon equipment. On film an Nikon F401 35mm SLR, and digital a Nikon 990 3MPixel. I am always on the lookout for something to upgrade to and now Nikon have two very nice bits of kit.
The D80 SLR kit is a camera that has been having rave reviews everywhere and might just make me jump into the digital SLR relm. The kit comes with a zoom Nikkor 18-135mm lens. I am one for simplicity, and anything I need to install into the car means hassle as far as I'm concerned especially if there is an easier route. Enter the Blue Tooth hands free kit. No wires or holes to drill in the following cases too.
I was a fan of the original BT200 with 3 hours talk time and 96 hours standby and not only did it look unique, it was comfortable to wear and the quality was exceptional. It became the standard Blue Tooth kit for the company mobiles at work..

The ability to roam around the house with the laptop and connect up to broadband at the sametime was something I investigated last Christmas. I also have another PC that I wanted to use as a server so I then got into home networking!
The Linksys Wireless G Router was the ideal piece of hardware to get this little project up and running. I am on NTL cable broadband and the output from the broadband modem plugs directly into the back of the router. Set up was completely painless even on the wireless side. Ensure that you activate WEP and MAC adress filtering for maximum security out of the box.
The same but now with speedboost is the Linksys WRT54GSUK Router.
If you are on ADSL then the you will require a different product that also includes an ADSL modem, and the Netgear DG834GUK comes highly recommended.
Alternatively Linksys also can provide the ADSL solution DG834GUK comes highly recommended.
For a straight wireless access point try the Linksys WAP-54.
For a PCI wireless card for a desktop the Linksys WMP54GS-UK 125 Mbps Wireless-G PCI Adapter with SpeedBooster is pretty good.
